Your Vote Counts

Your Vote Counts:

Let us all take a moment and carefully examine our ballots, if you have it. Some of you may have opted to vote by mail like I have making it more convenient for ourselves. It can be a hassle to have to drive to the designated areas to vote when we are so busy with our daily lives.

It’s nice to be able to fill it out in the comfort of our own homes or offices and simply throw it to the mail box when we are done and tell the Man our choices. If you have not opted to vote by mail, no problem. I am going to give you the CA District 11 choices, I encourage you to research every Candidate, Proposition and Measure. The world is at our finger tips with the Internet. We can find websites that help us with our choices or phone numbers to groups that can help us decide as well.

Lets get started!      ( Remember this is for CA CD 11 although most will still apply )

And I excluded any candidate that has no challenger, simply write in a name or bubble in next to theirs.

One Year Later, Where Are The Jobs?

One year ago, President Obama and the Democrat Leadership signed into law a spending bill they called the “American Recovery Reinvestment Act”.  The Democrats made claims that this $787 billion spending bill would create over 3 million jobs, prevent our unemployment from increasing beyond 8%, and would help our struggling economy.

Today, we have over 8.5 million Americans who have lost their jobs since the recession started. In California there are 2.2 million Californians who are out of work and in this past year, our state lost 47,000 employers.  The Democrats promises never came true.

What our country and state now has is not more jobs or a growing economy, we have a $1.3 trillion debt that continues to grow every single day.

In our Congressional District 11, which includes the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin and Santa Clara, what we have seen grow are food lines, unemployment, and the loss of homes and businesses.

The current people in Washington, D.C. don’t get it.  That is why I need your support now to retire the current Democrat Congressman Jerry McNerney.  With your help we can put a like minded, small business owner in congress, who understands that if you don’t have the money, you don’t spend it.

Here is how the Democrats have currently spent your hard earned money on this stimulus package:

Even a 4-Year Old Can Scam The Government

Last month, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration, J. Russell George recently noted that at least 19,000 “first-time home buyers” hadn’t purchased a home when they claimed the federal credit, another 74,000 filers weren’t first time buyers, and at least 500 people were under the age of 18, including a 4-year old.

According to the Wall Street Journal: “Speaking of the IRS, apparently its own staff couldn’t help but notice this opportunity to snag an easy $8,000. One day after explaining to Congress how many ‘home-buyers’ were climbing aboard this gravy train, Mr. George appeared on Neil Cavuto’s program on the Fox Business Network. Mr. George said his staff has found at least 53 cases of IRS employees filing “illegal or inappropriate” claims for the credit. ‘In all honesty this is an interim report. I expect that the number would be much larger than that number,’ he said.”

Would it be too much to ask that accountability and transparency measures be put in place before giving out our tax money?

The cost of this program is running at about $1 billion a month and $15 billion for the year.
